A Trip To Danesfield House

If you’ve stepped one foot outside onto the streets of England recently, you will appreciate just how cold we were during this photo shoot.

But nonetheless, my lovely friend and fellow creative, Mel Matthews from MM Design Studio, and I braved the weather and headed to the beautiful Danesfield House where she managed to capture some gorgeous shots, despite my frozen nose.

Danesfield House of Marlow, Buckinghamshire, is a breathtaking white brick country mansion surrounded by acres of green land and natural beauty. It has an incredible history and there’s lots of take in, so these images show a mere smidgen if it’s entirety.

If you find yourself in the Marlow / Henley-on-Thames region, she’s well worth a visit.

Sheep Wool Jackets & Coats

Have you seen the rise in sheep wool coats and jackets? It’s a fashion trend that made a huge comeback this winter (in the UK) and is sure to make its way over to the Australian fashion market for their winter 2018.

I wasn’t keen on the idea to start with – sure they look cute, but a majority of these coats are shearling, meaning the sheep are skinned. I won’t go into the ethics of it all, we would be here for days, but I don’t feel comfortable wearing it. Furthermore, I’m typically more of a classic A-line or vintage trench coat kind of gal.

Regardless, when I found this gorgeous jacket from www.shein.com, I just couldn’t resist jumping on the bandwagon. Not only is it faux wool, but the style of the jacket itself is so different and … stylish! The fabulous coat has batwing sleeves, a sluggish hood and feels like a blanket on my back. I have lived in this coat ever since I’ve had it.

Check out my new coat and let me know if you have a sheep wool coats or jackets yourself!

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

Ladies, Valentine's Day is just around the corner!

Oooooh, was that a rumble of groans I heard? Ok, I get it. V-Day SUCKS if you don’t have someone to share it with (and sometimes even when you do have someone to share it with).

The way I see it is, there are three types of people on Valentines Day:

Number 1: Valentine's Lover

You go all out with celebrating the mushy day - it's date night with your significant other. I’m talking dinner, movies and soft cuddly teddy bears. (I’ll admit this is me when I am in a relationship, so no judging here)

Number 2: What's Feb 14?

The football?Yeah, number 2’s don’t really care.

Number 3: Total Anti-Cupid

The word love makes you want to vomit, the cascade of roses make you see red (haha, get it? OK that was lame Ri), and you quite literally want to punch anyone who has bagged themselves a date. In other words, it’s singletons’ night out!

So while you sit there figuring out whether you’re a cupid fan or the latter, I’m going to show you how you can look the part either way.
